You know, there are easier ways to get a guy's attention. I know I'm not the easiest guy to get a hold of, but you could try the old fashioned way, and put something up on the sky. Leave a message on a wall, or anything that doesn't include zapping me into space.
Don't get me wrong. I appreciate you saving my ass and all, but I don't do the whole "space travel" thing any more. Though something tells me you're not going to take "no" for an answer, are you?

[Jason blathers away into the device he discovered, hoping it grabs the attention of whoever is responsible for him being here. Maybe it will distract them and keep them from collecting him right away. In the meantime, he's making his way through the different floors of the Barge, trying to gather anything he can turn into a weapon and gain some information on his current whereabouts.]

It's easy to talk a big game when you're all the way out in space, he'd said. And suddenly, he's in space too. He's on her floor, even. He's close to home, it wouldn't even take a whole minute to visit him if she wanted to. But she doesn't. She wants to watch him, study him, figure out why he's here and what he wants.
She puts the costume on before she goes out. He might attack, she might need the protection, she wants the cowl to cover her face. She's sneaking behind him, but there aren't many shadows to hide in yet, but she knows if he'll turn. She can either hide in doorways or around corners, or if she starts feeling extra daring maybe she'll get up so close she could touch him, just duck around when he turns.
For now, she's hanging back as she follows him.]

Slows his pace down and his body grows slightly tense. If they want to attack him, then this will present them with the "perfect opportunity". They'll assume he's slowing down to turn a corner and his reflexes will be off. Little do they know, he's preparing himself to attack and only need a second to deliver a devastating strike.]

Don't bother.

Just to... meet you.
[It's not exactly a lie, but it's not exactly the truth either.]

[Jason raises a brow, not convinced that she's been tracking him just so she could meet him. While he was preparing to return to Gotham, he had learned that there was another Batgirl in town. Initially he had been resentful, he felt like Babs had been replaced just like he had been. Once he learned more about the new set up in Gotham and how Babs operated, his resentment gave way to curiosity.]

[Not yet, anyway. She comes a little closer, mostly so she can get a better look at him. He hasn't thrown any punches, but she knows that doesn't mean much quite yet. Now she has something more important on her mind, though.]
Dickie-bird?

Tell you what. Why don't you show me where the kitchen is, and I'll answer some questions for you? Then you can meet me and get to know me all you want.

[There's nothing wrong with that, she's pretty sure. Besides, she's always hungry so it's not like going to the cafeteria is a thing that she's at all put out about. A few more steps bring her so she's side by side with him, then she nods in the right direction and starts off, assuming he'll follow.]
This way.
[But the cowl is still on. She still isn't sure about him.]

[Jason follows along after her, trailing behind her.]
If what I told was true, then you're capable of reading people's body language and can predict their actions before they even happen?
[Sounds a little too good to be true. He's come across extremely skilled fighters in his travels and none of them were able to pull off anything of that caliber.]

He's curious about her, which is good. It means he won't dismiss her right away, since she's got answers he wants to have too. She'll be selective in giving them, though. Dickie-bird is a dumb nickname and she doubts Dick even likes it.]
It's true. You were... going to punch, first. Right hook. Hard. If I didn't go down, you would... try again.

[Not only did she know he was going to attack, but she knew the exact combination he was going for. It would be one thing if the two of them had fought before and she had time to study his moves, but this is the first time the two of them have met in person.]

[She has to wonder what color crayon would be Impressed, but she keeps that to herself. He needs to take her seriously, otherwise he'll write her off and she'll never learn a thing about him.]
What will you do, here?

[The smirk on his lips takes on a dangerous quality. From what he's been told, he's stuck in the middle of space with a boat filled with criminals. Some might deserve a second chance, while others deserve nothing more than a bullet in between their eyes. He might not have his guns with him, but that doesn't mean he's weaponless.
The reason he wants to go to the kitchen is because he's hoping to come across cleaning supplies that he can use to make a couple of explosives. Knowing she's reading him at the moment, he derails those thoughts for the time being.]
From what I've gathered, the only person who is going to care about what I do is my warden.

[The smirk says enough, but then he goes and tells her everything with his body and and now she's the one grinning and it shows through the cowl. He caught it, tried to cover it up, and almost no one thinks to do that.]
Others will, depending on... what you do. Will want to... see you do well.

[Jason matches her grin and takes a step closer to her, so he can get a better look at her cowl. Studying her uniform is giving him some ideas. He needs to connect with Bruce later and see if he can design a couple of new armor sets to wear in this place. He's willing to bet she's not the only one with special gifts here.]
Does that include you, little bat?
spam
[She answers both at once, just be difficult. Little Bat brings back memories that are confusing and all tied up in feelings she still doesn't quite understand. There's a pang of sadness because she misses Tai'Darshan and what could have happened there.
And she's red under the cowl now, so glad she's wearing it, because most of her memories about being called little bat include her first examples of what lust looked like.]

[Jason might not be the detective the other Robins are, but he's able to put together enough pieces to get a feel for people. Not to mention, he can't imagine anyone who gives up easily on people would want to be stuck in space with a bunch of convicts.]
I bet you even believe someone like me can make use of that so-called second chance, yeah?
